Award-winning actress Kirstie Alley dies at 71 after losing battle to cancer

Kirstie Alley, a recipient of awards, passed away at the age of 71, following her loss in the battle against cancer which was just discovered. Her kids, True and Lillie Parker confirmed the news in an official statement on her social media pages.

Alley's first big Hollywood role came in 1982. She played Vulcan Starfleet Officer Lieutenant Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Then, she was cast in 1987, where she was a part of the cast in the role of Mark Harmon in the comedy Summer School.
