Chelsea suffer friendly Aston Villa defeat as Armando Broja suffers injury blow

Chelsea were a victim of an 1-0 defeat in a friendly fixture against Aston Villa in Abu Dhabi as John McGinn scored the sole goal in the game. Armando Broja was removed on a stretcher for an injury.

Graham Potter's team got started off with the most disastrous start when McGinn perfectly completed a superb move by the team for Villa in the seventh minute.

Things turned from bad to worse for Chelsea as Broja was sacked following an incident in the face of Ezri Konsa and could be added to the long list of absentees from the first team for the club.

Chelsea goalie Marcus Bettinelli was called to action on numerous occasions. His team faced chances of equalising with Academy students Lewis Hall and Ben Elliott, but Villa was able to hold on for victory,reported by sporting bets.
