P Waytha Moorthy has denied his former Cabinet colleague Saifuddin Abdullah's assertion of being the one (Waytha) had been the "lead" minister in charge of the ratification process of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD).
He claimed Saifuddin of telling the truth in a "blatant falsehood" and claimed the it wasn't his duty as the former the minister of national unity to discuss the ratification of ICERD through the United Nations (UN).
The job of ratifying international treaties falls obviously within the responsibilities for the minister of foreign affairs the law minister, and the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC)," he declared in an announcement. The controversy over ICERD began to erupt after Saifuddin added Malaysia's commitment to the treaty in a speech (then premier) Dr Mahathir Mohamad made during the UN General Assembly.
It is a well-known truth that (Saifuddin) made that decision independently as part of the Pakatan Harapan's (PH) manifesto to ratify the left UN Conventions ,report by jfdbet most trusted gambling site.

Waytha who is Malaysian Advancement Party (MAP) president, advised Saifuddin who has been the minister of foreign affairs since Mahathir's Cabinet of 2018 in 2018, to "grow up" and accept the fact that he is accountable for the incident.
The other day, Malaysiakini quoted Saifuddin as declaring that Waytha had been the minister responsible for the Malaysian government's failure to adopt the ICERD. The foreign minister claimed he didn't recall ever seeing an Cabinet document on ratifying a convention. He also said he was not sure why he was getting a bad rap on the subject.
Saifuddin said that the only international treaties he participated in were the International Convention to Protect All People against Forced Disappearance (ICPPED) as well as the United Nations Convention against Torture.
This past Saturday PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang said he was the main driver of the Sheraton Move in 2020 to cut down the rule of PH following a complaint by his party that it believed that the coalition was trying to abolish the rights that are reserved to the Malays.Hadi claimed that this occurred following the protests that erupted that took place in Kuala Lumpur against attempts by PH to accept ICERD.
After Hadi's announcement, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim and DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang accused Hadi of not recognizing Saifuddin's involvement in the incident. Saifuddin is currently in Bersatu and is the head of Perikatan Nasional's Pahang chapter.
