The Netherlands-Global apparel retailer UNIQLO and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) held the Wheelchair Tennis Next Gen Development initiative over the weekend of November 5th and 6thof November, inviting talented junior players to join the Wheelchair Tennis Masters. In the event, junior players interacted with professional players. Through special training they were taught not just the skills needed to play wheelchair tennis but also that it's important to pursue a vision and putting in the effort.
It was part UNIQLO's larger next generation program as well as its ongoing work with the entire panel made up of UNIQLO global Brand Ambassadors drive positive social change with youth empowerment initiatives,said by mega888 online.
This Wheelchair Tennis Next Gen Developmentevent was held between November 5th-6th in Sportcentrum de Rusheuvel, Oss, The Netherlands, hosted in collaboration with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and was sponsored by UNIQLO. Four Dutch players as well as four British players who took part earlier in the year during this year's Wheelchair Tennis Next Gen Development Event in London between the ages of 12 and 18 participated.
At The Next Gen Program, UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador Shingo Kunieda said "I have experienced personal improvement as a person and an athlete through traveling overseas and interacting with different players and those engaged. I am hoping that this program gave an opportunity for the kids to develop not just tennis , but the human traits which are essential for athletes."
