Witness says he saw obscene messages, pictures on complainant's phone

One witness at the trial of the preacher Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lee (pic) also known as Ebit Lew, testified to at the Court of the Magistrate that he had seen the vulgar messages and pictures within the WhatsApp application, which was allegedly used by the preacher on the phone of the complainant.

The head of the non-governmental organization Multiracial Reverted Muslims (MRM) Firdaus Wong Wai Hong who is three witnesses in the case, claimed that he had seen the vulgar images and messages right on the phone of the female complainant.

Ram: When you stated that you'd looked at the text messages and photos from the complainant's mobile after she filed (the an police investigation) Do you know the date?

Wong The time span is between 9pm and 1am.

Ram: I guess this was when you first met the lady in the Hotel Ascott, Brickfields Kuala Lumpur was it?

Wong"Yes I'm with you.

Ebit Lew 37-year-old Ebit Lew is facing 11 charges, which include assaulting the modesty of women in their 40s by sending offensive images and words to the victim's cell phone through WhatsApp. WhatsApp software between June and March of last year.
